Capability
Cloud
Cloud architecture, modernization, migration engineering and infrastructure automation designed for operability and controlled change.
What this capability covers
Cloud work is architecture and engineering rather than procurement. The question is how a system should be structured to run well on cloud infrastructure, and to stay changeable once it does.
This capability covers cloud architecture, modernization of existing systems, migration engineering, infrastructure as code, networking and security integration, the use of managed services where they genuinely reduce operational burden, and resilience and operability considerations.
SIATRIX engineers on AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. Platform choice follows the system’s requirements and the organization’s existing operational reality.
Typical engineering problems
- Infrastructure that exists but is not described anywhere, so changing it safely depends on individual memory.
- A migration that has to preserve service continuity while the target architecture is still being shaped.
- A lift-and-shift that reproduced the previous system’s constraints in a more expensive place.
- Managed services adopted for convenience, without the operational and coupling consequences being examined.
- Network and identity boundaries drawn once and never revisited as the system grew around them.
Engineering approach
- Describe infrastructure as code. Reproducibility and reviewability matter more than provisioning speed.
- Modernize with intent. A migration is an opportunity to correct architecture, but only where that correction is scoped and justified.
- Integrate security and networking into the design. Identity, boundaries and data paths belong in the architecture, not in a later hardening pass.
- Weigh managed services honestly. They remove operational work and add coupling. Both sides of that trade are stated before adopting one.
- Design for controlled change. The measure of a cloud architecture is how safely it can be changed a year later.
